I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The Difference Between Site and Site Collection Administration
When you create a new SharePoint site collection, SharePoint adds an additional tier of management to the root of the site collection. This includes settings and administrative features that apply to the entire site collection, such as site collection recycle bin, site collection Features, SharePoint Designer Settings, Visual Upgrade, site collection Help settings, and additional site collection settings for SharePoint Server 2010 site collections with publishing enabled. In addition, site collection administration is only visible to, and accessible by, designated site collection administrators.
