Windows PowerShell Commands for SharePoint

Windows PowerShell, which has fast become the standard configuration command-line and scripting tool for Windows Servers, such as Exchange Server, is the new command-line tool for SharePoint 2010. PowerShell 2, a prerequisite for installing SharePoint 2010, supersedes the STSADM.EXE command-line tool used in SharePoint 2007. Although SharePoint server administrators can choose to still use STSADM.EXE in SharePoint 2010, it’s by no means as extensible as PowerShell.
