Configuring an RSS Feed Connection

Using a REST Service Connection, you can also connect to RSS feeds, either internally or externally. RSS feeds offer another way of accessing and retrieving SharePoint list data from other sites within site collections. A good way of demonstrating how an RSS feed can be configured is to use one of the existing SharePoint RSS feeds.

Each SharePoint list exposes an RSS feed. By clicking on a list’s RSS feed, shown in Figure 19.69, we can obtain the feed URL from within the browser’s address line.
