I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Adding Ratings to ASPX and Web Part Pages
In SharePoint Server 2010, you can take advantage of the ratings control not only in lists and libraries, but also on pages stored within libraries. Page (publishing) layouts include a special ratings (field) control that you can drag and drop into a page layout in SharePoint Designer during edit. However, adding the ratings control to non-publishing pages, such as ASPX and Web part pages, is a little more involved. You can accomplish it by editing those pages in SharePoint Designer.
Note
Adding the rating control to content pages is only relevant where you are running SharePoint Server 2010. It does not apply to SharePoint Foundation 2010, which does not include the rating control.
