I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
This chapter showed you the power of the DFWP and how you can easily manipulate and present both internal and external data sources with it. You learned about the key differences when editing DFWPs in SharePoint Designer compared to editing XLVs, and saw how you could modify a DFWP’s inline editing features.
More importantly, you learned how to create data rollups in site collections and also how to access and present data from within a separate site collection. The chapter also showed you how you could leverage both the DFWP and XLV to add ratings to blog sites in SharePoint Server 2010.
