I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Real World: Creating a Slider DFWP
The SharePoint sites for the 2011 Australian and New Zealand SharePoint conferences underwent considerable restructuring from previous years and saw the introduction of many new features, including use of custom XSLT and jQuery to enhance the user interface. One new feature included a custom jQuery slider Web part which was added to several pages throughout the sites. Each instance of the Web part included images specific to the page’s topic, such as images of those people featured in the Ask the Experts panel and other community-related events throughout the conference.
