I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Out-of-the-box Master Pages
There are several out-of-the-box master pages provisioned at the time of creating a site collection. However in publishing sites there are two primary master pages, including
• v4.master: This master page (shown in Figure 6.56) is the equivalent of the SharePoint 2007 default.master. It works with all SharePoint 2010 sites and pages, including those pages served from the _layouts directory, such as Site Settings pages. The v4.master page includes all the SharePoint user interface changes, including ribbon and social buttons.
