Add Field Controls to a Newly Styled Page Layout

Now that you’ve styled the page layout, you can add some field controls into the newly created <div> tags. Follow these steps to add field controls to the page layout.

1. With the CompanyEvents.aspx page layout in design view, position your cursor in div#columnLeft. If the Toolbox task pane is not already opened open it and expand the Page and Content Fields.

2. In Content Fields, click Page Content and drag and drop it into div#columLeft. Because you want to add additional content below Page Content, select Page Content and then click the ribbon’s Insert tab. In the Controls group, click the HTML drop-down selection.
