So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Creating Cascading Drop-downs
In Chapter 25 you saw how to create cascading drop-down fields on an out-of-the-box list form by using jQuery. For instance, when a user selected a particular country in the first drop-down field selection then only the states relevant to the selected country were shown in the second drop-down field. The jQuery option provided a solution for those without access to InfoPath Forms Services in SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise edition, such as those using SharePoint Foundation 2010. In this section, you learn how to create the same cascading drop-down solution, shown in Chapter 25, though using the features available in InfoPath Designer 2010.
