I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Preparation
• Make copies of the Mission Statement Guidelines handout. You will need at
least one for each participant.
• Review and become familiar with the topics on the handout.
• Make sure all participants have a pencil and paper.
• Have a flip chart and markers available.
Process
• Explain to participants that they will be working together on an exercise.
• To introduce the mission statement, read or paraphrase the following:
Today, we will look at the importance of teams having a clear mission. Teams
without clear missions often do not achieve much, if anything, because they
never knew what they were supposed to achieve. This is such a basic point that
it is sometimes overlooked or done carelessly.
