

Purpose/Objectives: Almost everyone agrees that teamwork is a desirable

and productive method of accomplishing tasks. How-

ever, not everyone understands that a fair degree of

flexibility and "give and take" are required to make it

work. This role play exercise illustrates what happens

when a team member is uncooperative and inflexible.

Each team consists of several cooperative members and

one uncooperative member. As the teams go about

accomplishing their task of rearranging the room for a

hypothetical luncheon, it soon becomes clear how a lack

of teamwork can hinder even a simple project.
