Purpose/Objectives: Discussion is the technique by which teams establish
direction, assign responsibilities, and reach decisions.
Without focused discussion, the team process cannot
work. It is not enough to get the members together to
talk. The discussion has to be guided by a team leader
to stay on track and accomplish its objectives.
This role play exercise will demonstrate the effect of
both guided and unguided discussion. There will be two
discussion teams working on a hypothetical problem.
Both will have members who are instructed to either
