I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
THE SCM PROCESS
Brinkerhoff's SCM combines analysis of extreme groups—as opposed to the average-performing group—with case study and storytelling. The main purpose of a success case study is to find out how well an organizational initiative such as a training program is working. This approach is meant to identify and explain the contextual factors that differentiate successful from unsuccessful adopters of new initiatives. Brinkerhoff (2003, 2005) cites a study that identified the factors that explained why some trainees were able to use their new training to accomplish worthwhile results while others were not: support from supervisors, access to certain databases, and access to training soon after being assigned new business accounts.
