It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
CONTRACTING CONTROLS
Contracting for evaluation service (and results) is more than a simple matter of hiring a contractor and then turning that person loose while you go on to other work. You can magnify what you can get done with the proper use of a contract, but it will require an investment in time and attention to detail. Some of the management burden can be eased if you start with a clear contract that provides a framework for you and the contractor to advance through the stages of the work and complete the tasks you wanted done, with a desired set of results.
