So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
GRAPHICAL REPRESENTATIONS OF DATA
The power of visual representations cannot be overstated. This is especially true with calculations and statistical data. Graphs help us quickly interpret information without the use of many words, and in fact, many people find them easier to understand than statistical test results.
Frequencies, for example, can be graphically represented by bar graphs. In Figure 12.3, categories are organized vertically and values horizontally.
Line charts, also commonly used, show trends in data at equal intervals. They display trends over time or categories and can be created with markers displayed at each data value. Figure 12.4 shows a stacked line chart with multiple categories (Europe, United States, and Japan).
