The field of performance improvement continues to be in transition and continuing development, as previous contributors to the field have indicated (Clark & Estes, 1999; Ferrington & Clark, 2000). As we face a disconnect between what must be evaluated in programs and organizations and the evaluation tools and models that have traditionally dominated the performance improvement field, the requirement to expand evaluation frameworks and models will become more pressing.
