CREATING TH E HUD EVENT DISPATCHER
Great! Now w e have the functionality in our player character’s blueprint to de-
tect when he/she collects the balls and to update the score accordingly. The
next thing we need to do is jump into the MyNewHUD blueprint to add an event
dispatcher to show th e updated score on the HUD.
55. Open u p the MyNewHUD blueprint and go to its event graph.
56. Create an Event Di spatcher in the My Blueprint pane of the MyNewHUD (see
Figure 8.28(a)).
57. Once you have the event dispatcher created, give it the name UpdateScor e_HUD
