Work gets assigned, completed, and reported on through activities. Combined with queues, explained further in this chapter under “Queues,” activity management offers a good reflection of the status of work in an organization.
An activity can consist of the following:
• Task
• Fax
• Phone Call
• Letter
• Appointment
• Service Activity
• Campaign Response
• Recurring Appointment
• Custom Activity
When you select the New button to create a new activity, you will be prompted to select the type of the activity (see Figure 7.3).
