Managed

Managed solutions are available by exporting them from the base application in a managed state. They have the following properties associated with them:

• When installed, a managed solution cannot be exported. (But it can be deleted and re-installed if desired.)

• A managed solution cannot be directly modified.

Note

Managed solutions often introduce custom entities into an application. These custom entities will have their own tables, which are created to support them in the underlying database. When the solution is deleted, the tables are removed as well, which provides a higher level of security for managing and controlling IP.
