Create New Goal

We are now ready to create a Goal by completing the following steps:

1. Navigate to Goals and select New from the ribbon menu. Figure 8.46 shows the new Goal interface.

2. Next, complete the following fields on the form:

• Name—The name of the Goal.

• Parent Goal—Whether this is a Child Goal.

• Goal Metric—Reference to the previously created Goal Metric.

• Goal Owner—By default the user creating the Goal.

• Manager—Team goals roll to the users manager.

• Goal Period Type—By default the fiscal period, but selectable to any custom period you define (by selecting Custom Period).
