The handy Recalculate option enables you to easily recalculate the estimated revenue, save and close, and then reopen the form when adjusting pricing for products. A common use of this is when you are building an Opportunity and want to change the underlying Price List for it, or you are adding Products and need to be sure you have the underlying calculations correct.
Another important tool when working with Opportunities is the Pipeline Phase. This is found in the lower-right corner of the Opportunity (see Figure 8.15). The Pipeline Phase was previously referred to as the Step Name in previous versions of CRM and uses the attribute stepname to show the current phase in the sales pipeline for the opportunity.
