E-mail activities are activity records that indicate either an incoming or an outgoing e-mail. Similar to faxes, they don’t necessarily indicate an actual e-mail; rather, they indicate an E-mail activity that has occurred (e-mail has been sent) or will occur. (E-mail activity should be sent on the due date.)
E-mail activities create a record whereby the E-mail is sent to the Account, Contact, Lead, Queue, or User listed in the To, Cc, or Bcc fields. The Subject of the E-mail activity is the subject of the e-mail, and the Text is the body of the email. Any attachments to the E-mail activity are included.
