What the Web Apps Can Do
The Web Apps provide you with the ability to view, edit, and save Office files to an online workspace that can be accessed from any computer or smart device with an Internet connection and a supported Web browser. But the Web Apps are only part of Microsoft’s cloud computing initiative. Microsoft continues to provide users with a free SkyDrive account. To take advantage of SkyDrive, you just need to obtain a Windows Live ID (Outlook.com, MSN.com, Hotmail.com—all these account types work as Live IDs). The SkyDrive website (https://skydrive.live.com) provides free storage space for your files and access to the Office Web Apps.
