Working with Slide Objects

An object can be anything you place on the slide. In this chapter, we looked at a number of object types, including pictures, Clip Art, shapes, and Smart Art. Text boxes qualify as objects as well. Resizing and rotating objects is straightforward. To resize an object, drag the sizing handles on the object’s frame as needed. If you want to maintain the height/width ratio of an object, drag the lower-right sizing handle diagonally to size the object.

You can also easily rotate a selected object, such as a shape. When you select the object, the rotation handle (the green dot) appears at the top of the object. Place the mouse on the handle; when the Rotation icon appears, drag the rotation handle to rotate the object.
