Using Building Blocks

Another option for adding graphical elements to a Publisher publication is a building block. The Building Blocks group on the Insert menu provides premade graphics that you can use to enhance your pages. These items range from headings and pull quotes to calendars and advertisements. The commands in the Building Blocks group are as follows:

Page Parts: The page parts are a gallery of items that include ready-made headings, sidebars, and stories. The stories are preformatted text boxes containing placeholder text and an image; you can replace these placeholders with your own text and objects. The page parts are well designed and provide items that you can add to your publications to make them look more professional.
