Adding Images and Graphics to Worksheets

You can add pictures, clip art, shapes, and SmartArt graphics to your Excel worksheets just as easily as you can add these items to Word documents or PowerPoint presentation slides. For example, you can quickly insert a company logo graphic or insert a picture of the salamander species that is the subject of a population study you have detailed in your Excel sheet.

The Insert tab provides the Illustrations group, which enables you to insert digital pictures (Pictures), clip art (Online Pictures), shapes (Shapes), and SmartArt graphics (Insert a SmartArt Graphic).
