Using Conditional Formatting

So far we approach cell formatting from a static viewpoint; any formatting applied to cells was our job, even in cases where we wanted to highlight certain cells because of their contents using cell formatting. Conditional formatting provides a more dynamic (and often useful) way to use formatting to “point out” cells in a sheet that meet certain conditions. For example, if you want to format all the monthly sales totals in a sheet that fall below a certain conditional amount, you can use conditional formatting to do just that.
