When you create a letter in Word, it typically contains the name and address of the individual whom you want to receive your letter. Having the name and address available in the letter makes it easy for you to then create an envelope for that letter.
Creating the letter and then using the address information in the letter in the envelope makes sense. You can also add the envelope to the letter in a separate section that enables you to print both the envelope and letter at your convenience (or save for later reference). In creating the letter, you can use your own format or one of Word’s letter templates.
