Inserting Screen Clips

Another way to insert information created in other applications is to use the Screen Clipping command. This command is housed in the Images command group on the Ribbon’s Insert tab (you also can access the Screen Clipping command via the Send to OneNote tile on the Windows 8 taskbar). You can capture a screen clip of any application window by using the mouse. This means that you can include a screen clip of a web page or a portion of an Excel worksheet or a presentation slide in PowerPoint. Anything that you can open on your computer screen is fair game for creating a screen clip using the Screen Clipping command. Figure 32.5 shows a screen clip of a PowerPoint slide that has been inserted into a notebook page.
