Working with Themes
PowerPoint pioneered the concept of the theme, which is best described as a unified collection of font, color, and design attributes that can be applied to all the slides in a presentation. This provides an overall look of uniformity for the slides in the presentation, even when the slides use different layouts or contain different types of objects. PowerPoint provides a number of different themes, and you can modify these themes to create your own custom themes. In PowerPoint, a theme controls the slide colors (including the background), the fonts, and the effects. It also controls the layout of the title and content areas on a slide. So, a theme also affects how information is laid out on each slide.
