Excel and Databases

A database is a collection of organized information. The basic container used to hold data in a database is the table, and complex databases can consist of many tables. Excel provides you with the ability to interact with and manipulate tables by using a number of different tools. You can create your own tables in Excel or import or connect to data provided by other databases external to Excel.
