Believe it or not, HTML email can pose a threat to your computer. HTML email can include active content such as Active X controls and scripts, and these can potentially be malware. HTML email can also include graphic images. These images can include a web beacon.

Outlook can serve as your RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed reader. Right-click the RSS Feed folder in your Mail folder, and then select Add a New RSS Feed. You can copy and paste the URL for any website that provides an RSS feed into the New RSS dialog box. You can then use Outlook to read the feeds from the RSS source.
