Attaching Files

Another way to add information to a OneNote notebook is to attach files to notebook pages. This enables you to quickly access a file such as an Excel workbook, PowerPoint presentation, or Word document (just double-click on the attachment icon). Any file type can be attached to a notebook page. If you have the application used to create the file installed on your computer, you can quickly open the file in that application.

Attaching files to a shared notebook is also an easy way to share files with other users who have access to the shared notebook.
