Sounds can add emphasis to information on slides or can serve as actual content to your presentation (such as a sound clip from a famous speech). The sound can consist of a sound effect or narration. You can insert a sound clip as an object onto a slide. The sound plays when you click the image that represents the sound object during a slide show. PowerPoint enables you to insert sound files that have been sourced in different ways. For example, you might already have sound files that you have created or downloaded to your computer.
