Formatting Cells Using Borders and Color

The overall design of a worksheet is often dictated by the results that the sheet is to produce. Data is sometimes arranged in columns and rows so that formulas or functions can be strategically placed to do calculation on the data. This doesn’t always result in a sheet that provides visual cues that make it easy to see and understand the purpose of the sheet. This is where cell borders and cell background or fill colors can be useful. You can use borders and colors to highlight certain areas of the sheet and draw attention to a specific cell or range of cells.
