Perhaps the most obvious difference between KDE and other user interfaces is the use of the mouse: in KDE, instead of a double-click, a single mouse click is sufficient to open files, start modules or perform comparable operations. This takes some getting used to at first, but it allows for efficient and comfortable work.
If you don't want to change, you can of course set up KDE to be double-click compliant. To do this, start the System Settings in the KDE menu, go to the Workspace Behavior module, and activate the Click Files or Folders = Selects Them option. Fedora's KDE spin is configured this way by default, and KDE Plasma version 6 and later will also have this setting by default.
