Numerous editing modes change the functionality of the editor and provide additional special commands. This way, Emacs is adapted perfectly to a text type. Depending on the mode, keywords and comments are also highlighted in color. Emacs distinguishes between major modes and minor modes (see Table 13.14 and Table 13.15).
