26.2 Postfix (MTA)
This section describes how you can install and configure the Postfix MTA on RHEL and Ubuntu. Postfix is currently one of the most popular MTAs and is very well documented—both on https://www.postfix.org and in countless articles and some books.
Nevertheless, the choice of Postfix is by no means a foregone conclusion. While there is only one widely used program for some tasks, the open-source world offers several excellent MTAs to choose from. Whether Postfix or Exim, Qmail or Sendmail—all these programs are widely used and fulfill their purpose.
