28.3 Grsync
It’s an exaggeration to call Grsync a backup tool. In reality, it’s a simple user interface for the rsync command (see Section 28.6) to synchronize one directory with another.
The biggest advantages of Grsync are its ease of use and the fact that your files are copied 1:1 to a second directory. If you ever need to go back to your backup, you don't need any special tools to do so and you can restore the required files quickly and easily. The speed factor in particular should not be underestimated. Restoring data from an incremental backup system with encryption and compression can take hours!
