I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
22.5 Elastic Compute Cloud
There are countless providers that allow you to run virtual Linux machines in the cloud. This book is not the place for a market overview or even a vendor evaluation. Rather, I will describe Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) offering, which currently dominates the cloud market in its segment.
It should be mentioned that I have no contact with either company other than as a normal customer and, of course, I receive no compensation for presenting their offerings. This applies quite generally to all companies and products mentioned in this book, regardless of whether they are hardware, software, or services.
