22.3 Ubuntu Server
Ubuntu Server is a variant of Ubuntu optimized for server operation. Especially the LTS versions of Ubuntu Server are among the most popular Linux server systems in the noncommercial sector, alongside the RHEL clones and Debian, because of the support period of five years.
Behind the scenes, Ubuntu Server is actually no different from ordinary Ubuntu: it uses the same packages and package sources. The special feature of Ubuntu Server is that there is a separate, text-based installation program especially for server use.
