Commands like ls, cp, or top, which you usually run in a terminal window, do not respond to (F1) nor do they have a Help menu. But there are also help texts for these commands available, which can be read via other commands:
command --help returns a list of all options with a short explanation of their meaning for a large number of commands.
man command displays the man help text for many commands. You can navigate through the multipage text using the cursor keys. Press (Q) to exit the help.
help command only works with shell commands, such as cd or alias.
