This section provides tips on optimizing virtual machines and on data exchange between the host system or the “real” local network and the virtual machines.
VirtualBox provides its guests with the host's network infrastructure in the form of a virtual network adapter. There are different methods of routing network traffic from the virtual network adapter to the real network. The corresponding parameters can be found in the settings dialog in the Network dialog sheet (see Figure 31.2).
