8 Zsh (Shell)
For decades, bash was the default shell of almost all Linux distributions. In recent years, however, there has been some movement in the selection of shells. zsh (pronounced as z-shell) is not only gaining popularity among professionals but is now enabled by default by some distributions (such as Manjaro and Kali Linux). Fans of zsh cite the following benefits, among others:
