Web browsers such as Firefox or Chrome are unusable in a text console or terminal window. Nevertheless, to quickly visit a web page or read an HTML document even in text mode, programs such as ELinks, Lynx, or w3m can help you. You also can use these programs to convert simple HTML documents into plain text. All three programs are similar in operation.
