It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

アジャイル（Agile）
ITIL
アジャイル（Agile）とは、「俊敏な」「素早い」という意味の英単語
です。「アジャイルソフトウェア開発
(agile software development)」
は、迅速かつ適応的（
adaptive）にソフトウェア開発を行う開発手法
の総称であり、最近一般的に使われている「アジャイル」の大元です。
なお、アジャイルでは、「状況の変化に俊敏に適応すること」に主眼
を置いています。したがって、アジャイルソフトウェア開発は、計画
重視の開発手法である「ウォーターフォール・モデル」に相対する手
法だとされています。
イテレーション（反復）
アジャイルで重視されるのが「イテレーション（反復）」です。ア
ジャイルソフトウェア開発手法の多くが、「イテレーション」と呼ばれ
る
1 〜 4 週間程度の短い期間単位で開発を行う方法を取っています。
これは、「計画通りに作りすぎ、気が付くと “ 今 ” 必要とされるもの
と大きな差異ができてしまう」というリスクを最小化するための手法
です。これにより、リスクを最小限に抑えながら状況の変化への俊敏
な対応を実現しています。
アジャイルマニフェスト
2001年に、アジャイルソフトウェア開発手法（当時は「軽量ソフト
ウェア開発手法」）の分野の専門家
17 人が集まり、個々に提唱してい
た開発手法の重要なコンセプトに共通する考え方を「アジャイルマニ
