If a task is expected to be difficult to complete, there are a number of ways to mitigate this in a survey.
Imagine a task that represents a single step in a larger process, such as entering payment information during an online checkout. If participants are not able to complete the step, the script should describe how to proceed so they can continue with the following tasks or steps in the task.
If the UX researcher feels that there is a real chance that participants won’t be able to complete a task, then the script can help mitigate these negative feelings. The following list contains some helpful advice to bear in mind:
