The summary usually pretty much contains the conclusion, but ending the report with a conclusion that sums up in a sentence or two what the bottom line of the results is—mostly positive, mostly negative, or somewhere in between—is an excellent segue to the suggestions for the next steps. We have mentioned this before: a usability study should not be a one-off; the goal is always to improve the product being tested, not to document its flaws. This section should therefore always state what the best next steps should be—for example, a specific user journey that the next UX study should focus on.
