When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Tasks that are difficult to complete
Tasks that are difficult to complete can pose a real problem for unmoderated studies. Since there is no moderator to keep the participant on track, it is entirely possible that participants will go in the wrong direction and will not complete the task. This can be disheartening for the participant, and they may become less confident or more negatively disposed towards the product and the study. This, in turn, can negatively influence the rest of the session.
If a task is expected to be difficult for some participants, the script can help mitigate the negative feelings:
- When the task is introduced to the participant, restate that "we are not testing you".
