Seniors
The main challenge when recruiting seniors for usability studies is that many don't feel as comfortable with technology as younger age groups do (http://www.pewinternet.org/2017/05/17/technology-use-among-seniors/). They may be intimidated by the prospect of participating in a UX study during which they need to use technology, as they may dread that they will fail at the tasks.
If seniors are one of the target user groups, it is definitely beneficial to include them in usability testing. As a group, seniors use technology quite differently compared to younger age groups and they have different needs. Some struggle with reduced motor skills or reduced vision, which can make it harder to manipulate a mouse or use a touchscreen.
